Officials said the driver showed no signs of impairment and stayed on scene, cooperating with law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">According to investigators, officers found a disabled vehicle on the roadway and said they believe the driver ran out of gas, prompting him to cross the freeway to get gas for the car. Officials did not immediately identify the victim.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">HPD said if your car breaks down, call 911 for help and don&#8217;t cross any freeways.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officials said IH-10 was shut down for several hours due to the crash and its subsequent investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">HPD said a separate vehicle hit an officer in a patrol car during the investigation.
