Blanco pitched the final two innings of Saturday\u2019s win against the A\u2019s, his first appearance for the Astros since Sept. 13. The right-hander has a 6.68 ERA in 33\u2154 major-league innings this season.<\/p>\n
Due to being optioned, Blanco cannot be recalled for a minimum of 15 days unless replacing a pitcher going on the injured list. That would rule Blanco out for an AL wild-card round if the Astros win the AL West on Sunday and advance to the playoffs.<\/p>\n
