Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect rain chances and a cooldown near the end of the week.<\/p>\n

Monique Sellers, National Weather Service meteorologist, said that after a long period of hot and dry weather, this week will follow a more active pattern with the return of rain and storm chances. <\/p>\n

Sellers said the week will start on the warm side, but rain chances will kick in late Tuesday or early Wednesday and remain throughout the week. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is going to knock our temperatures down to be a little bit more like what we’re expecting for the late September, early October,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Sellers recommends that residents keep an eye on the forecast each day and keep an umbrella close by. <\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome change after such a long stretch of heat here,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Weekly Outlook<\/p>\n

Monday: Sunny with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 94 during the day. Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. and a low around 75 at night.<\/p>\n

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with wind gusts as high as 25 mph and a high near 96 during the day. Mostly cloudy with wind gusts as high as 25 mph and a low around 74 at night.<\/p>\n

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a 60% chance of precipitation, wind gusts as high as 30 mph and a high near 92 during the day. Mostly cloudy with a 70% chance of precipitation and a low around 73 at night.<\/p>\n

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a 70% chance of precipitation and a high near 85 during the day. Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a low around 69 at night.<\/p>\n

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 79 during the day. Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a low around 64 at night.<\/p>\n

Saturday: Partly sunny with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 78 during the day.<\/p>\n
