When the first deputy arrived, emergency medical personnel were already on scene. The man was found in the roadway with no signs of life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Earlier calls from the surrounding area described a man acting erratically. Investigators say the description matched the man found in the road, though they have not determined what caused his behavior.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">A woman who called 911 stopped to check on the man and found him unresponsive. Another driver also stopped at the scene. Neither driver reported striking him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Investigators have not determined whether a vehicle struck the man or whether he suffered a medical episode in the roadway. If a vehicle did strike him, it did not remain at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">At some point before he was found, the man had been seen in a nearby apartment parking lot and running around the buildings. Investigators had not yet determined whether he lived at the complex.
