{"id":450229,"date":"2026-09-28T16:12:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T16:12:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/450229\/"},"modified":"2026-09-28T16:12:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T16:12:14","slug":"man-hospitalized-after-being-shot-in-leg-on-the-south-side","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/450229\/","title":{"rendered":"Man hospitalized after being shot in leg on the South Side"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAPD: Man expected to be OK<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">SAN ANTONIO \u2013 A man is expected to recover after San Antonio police said he was shot in the leg during an encounter with two men just south of downtown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The shooting happened near 3 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of McKinley Avenue, not far from Roosevelt and Steves Avenues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Police said the victim, a man in his 30s, was approached by two men before he was shot. The two men then ran from the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The shooting victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting.
