Fire-Rescue said their injuries were “non-critical.” The fire department said no civilians or firefighters were hurt, “and there was no impact to the apartment or neighboring businesses.”

The fire department said, “A contractor was pressure testing a gas line, which somehow exploded during the process.”

The fire department could not say whether the incident that happened this morning is related to the initial gas leak that displaced hundreds more than a week ago.
