FREDERICKSBURG, Texas – A former Harper ISD assistant band director will spend 15 years in prison after investigators uncovered that he secretly recorded 10 underage girls in private spaces.

Pedro De Luna III was arrested after investigators with the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office said he recorded a 15-year-old girl in a bathroom at his home on Nov. 8, 2025. Authorities said a search of De Luna’s residence and digital devices turned up more than 50 photographs and videos showing child sexual abuse material, along with evidence that he recorded nine other underage girls in a local high school dressing room where he worked. The Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation faced challenges after De Luna tried to delete and conceal evidence, but their team recovered the data and identified all the victims.

The sheriff’s office credited its evidence technician, the 216 District Attorney’s Office and the Kerr County Digital Forensics Lab for their roles in the case.

“There was a lot of hard work and many dedicated hours leading to the conviction of Mr. DeLuna,” the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office also recognized the courage of the victims, who shared statements in court about the negative impact on their lives and their loss of trust.

“With a great amount of courage were able to prove they were willing to stand up and face him,” the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office said.

De Luna was sentenced on September 3 for felony counts that included possession of child sexual abuse material, invasive visual recording of a bath or dressing room and tampering with evidence. Harper ISD told families that De Luna is no longer employed by the district and urged anyone with additional information to speak with authorities.

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas – A former Harper ISD assistant band director will spend 15 years in prison after investigators…

[8
82,84,83
post-450973","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-san-antonio","tag-san-antonio","tag-san-antonio-headlines","tag-san-antonio-news
["GET
