ARLINGTON, Texas — The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred around 1 a.m. on Sept. 26.

The department said in a press release that officers were called to the westbound lanes of I-20 near Bowman Springs Road in response to the accident.

When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old man lying on the side of the highway. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries, police say.

Investigators determined that the motorcyclist collided with the rear end of a Honda Civic and was thrown from his bike. The collision caused the Honda Civic to strike construction barriers in the area, officials say. The driver of the car was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the man.

Investigators determined that the motorcyclist collided with the rear end of a Honda Civic and was thrown from…

[13
150,152,151
post-451125","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-arlington","tag-arlington","tag-arlington-headlines","tag-arlington-news
["GET
