SAN ANTONIO \u2013 Judson ISD police are investigating after a stabbing unfolded at Metzger Middle School on Wednesday morning, district officials confirmed to KSAT.<\/p>\n
Trustee Jose Macias told KSAT that he was informed that a girl stabbed a boy at the middle school, located on Binz Engleman Road near Woodlake Parkway on the Northeast Side. <\/p>\n
The \u201cstudent-related incident\u201d happened during a scheduled lockdown drill Wednesday morning, according to Judson ISD\u2019s Director of Communications Lexie Greathouse. The incident then led campus administrators to place the school on a hold. <\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the response, a weapon was located and immediately confiscated,\u201d Greathouse said in an emailed statement. <\/p>\n
Macias said the girl had multiple knives inside her backpack.<\/p>\n
KSAT asked the district if the knives recovered were used in the stabbing this afternoon, but have not heard back yet.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe situation was quickly contained. Appropriate disciplinary action is being taken, and the matter has been referred to law enforcement for further review,\u201d Greathouse said.<\/p>\n
KSAT asked Greathouse if any student was transported to the hospital, but we did not immediately hear back. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe district has contacted all Metzger MS parents,\u201d Greathouse said. \u201cIf they have additional concerns, you can direct parents to campus administration for specific questions regarding their child.\u201d<\/p>\n
