This brought heavy rain overnight and leaves us with the potential for severe weather through the evening.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"KCBD\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/LPVRGQ63ANGBBJW7JU7RGGSAWQ.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"623\" \/>KCBD(KCBD)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Rain quickly moved from southwest to northeast early this morning, but there is still a slight threat. Storms developing off the Caprock this afternoon into tonight could produce damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph, with tornadoes unlikely but not completely ruled out.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"KCBD\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/K26G26TAMZEYFM4AN2ABAHRDXE.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"569\" \/>KCBD(KCBD)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">As the low pressure system moves north and begins to occlude Wednesday morning, a dry slot has begun moving across much of the forecast area, curtailing additional rainfall chances. However, areas off the Caprock remain vulnerable to additional heavy rain through Thursday morning, with a Flood Watch remaining in effect for Stonewall County through Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"KCBD\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/WKL3TY5Y6NCHVJNNBERPC6KTWA.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"538\" \/>KCBD(KCBD)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Relief arrives late in the week.
