{"id":452523,"date":"2026-09-30T22:20:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-30T22:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/452523\/"},"modified":"2026-09-30T22:20:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-30T22:20:08","slug":"trinity-metro-texrail-hits-1-million-annual-riders-keller-roanoke-northeast-fort-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/452523\/","title":{"rendered":"Trinity Metro TEXRail hits 1 million annual riders | Keller &#8211; Roanoke &#8211; Northeast Fort Worth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time in service history, Trinity Metro\u2019s TEXRail reached 1 million annual customers, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/ridetrinitymetro.org\/texrail-reaches-1-million-annual-customers-for-first-time-in-service-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Team members with the commuter rail line celebrated the record breaking ride earlier this week on the train with the millionth rider.<\/p>\n<p>Marking a milestone<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ridetrinitymetro.org\/texrail-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">TexRail<\/a>, which spans the 27 miles between downtown Fort Worth and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport\u2019s\u00a0 Terminal B, welcomed its first riders in January 2019. Since then, 4.8 million travelers, tourists and employees have ridden the train, according to the news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDFW Airport is our region\u2019s gateway to the world, and TEXRail puts that gateway within easy reach of Fort Worth,\u201d said Reed Lanham, chief operating officer of Trinity Metro.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The rail line also has stations in North Richland Hills and Grapevine with several other dining, entertainment, employment and housing stops along the way.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s milestone comes after last year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/grapevine-colleyville-southlake\/transportation\/trinity-metro-texrail-breaks-monthly-ridership-record-in-december\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">record-breaking ridership in December<\/a> and as the TexRail prepares for expansion.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead<\/p>\n<p>On Oct. 29, Trinity Metro will break ground on its <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/keller-roanoke-northeast-fort-worth\/transportation\/texrail-expansion-among-3-transportation-updates-in-fort-worth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">expanded route<\/a> and new station in the Fort Worth Medical District, according to the news release.<\/p>\n<p>As the TexRail has grown, the area near the Grapevine\/Main Street Station has seen over $114 million in transit-oriented development, according to the news release.
