This is Texas.”

Recently, the Texas Department of Public Safety sent thousands of backlogged voter registration applications to election offices of the state’s 10-most populated counties where many Democrats live. Some registration applications were filled out back in October 2025.

Now, less than 30 days before early voting, county election officials face the massive challenge of preparing for the 2026 midterm while processing thousands of applications. The state off loaded approximately 45,000 applications onto Bexar County.

Those in charge of voter registration at the state level have created a huge mess, and it’s now the job of county election officials to clean it up.

Confidence? Sorry, I’m not feeling it at all.

The city’s new $30 annual library-card fee for Bexar County residents who live outside San Antonio’s city limits means…

[8
82,84,83
post-453083","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-san-antonio","tag-san-antonio","tag-san-antonio-headlines","tag-san-antonio-news
["GET
