ARLINGTON, Texas \u2014 A man confessed to a murder that had just occurred after a quick pursuit following an assault on an Arlington officer, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Arlington police on scene told WFAA police originally crossed paths with a man when he assaulted an officer. The suspect jumped in his vehicle and began driving away. Arlington officers pursued the suspect a short distance before he pulled over on Interstate 30 near the Belt Line exit overnight.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While under arrest for the pursuit and assault on an officer, the suspect then confessed he had just killed someone at a nearby apartment complex, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Arlington Police went to the 1600 block of South Cooper Street where they found a victim had been stabbed to death. Police have not released any details on who the victim is or how they are connected to the suspect.\u00a0<\/p>\n
