The majority of the canceled flights came from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/airlines\/2026\/02\/23\/american-airlines-requests-to-start-flights-to-venezuela\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Envoy Air<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/airlines\/2015\/02\/09\/psa-airlines-to-get-an-additional-24-planes-from-american-airlines-group\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">PSA Airlines<\/a>, which are both owned by American Airlines and operate regional flights for the Fort Worth carrier. American had only canceled 27 of its mainline flights by 6:45 a.m. DFW Airport was also approaching nearly 200 delays.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Operations at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/love-field\/?utm_source=paid_marketing&amp;utm_medium=google_dsa&amp;utm_campaign=content_acquisition&amp;gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=23423742462&amp;gbraid=0AAAAADjVYgEQn37U3h7Tzqpcv7Y_mVa4K&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwifjVBhBKEiwAYx4K9LhUAnyCtJRFHcAQc276K2cvrlZJpYvFwXN8QOJgiiEIuCX6fsqvUBoCV2IQAvD_BwE\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Dallas Love Field<\/a>, the home base of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/southwest-airlines\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Southwest Airlines<\/a>, seemed to be less affected in the early morning. By 7 a.m., Love Field had just 15 cancellations and 12 delays, according to FlightAware.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/nasstatus.faa.gov\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Federal Aviation Administration<\/a> is already warning that flight traffic into DFW Airport could be slowed for much of the day.
