As a slow-moving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/news\/weather\/article\/cold-front-san-antonio-weather-22457552.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">cold front<\/a> arrives, some travelers are stranded in airports due to the weather.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Aviation Administration (<a href=\"https:\/\/nasstatus.faa.gov\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">FAA<\/a>) has issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/newsroom\/faa-daily-air-traffic-report\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">ground stop and delay<\/a> program for departures due to the severe weather, its website shows. Departures to Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW) airports are currently grounded.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say departures from DAL are delayed about 15 minutes (and increasing) due to weather. There is a 30 to 60% (medium) chance this delay will be extended.\u00a0Meanwhile, departures from DFW are delayed about 79 minutes. There is a 30 to 60% (medium) chance this delay will be extended.<\/p>\n<p>According to the FAA website, the ground stop\/delay program may also be extended to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and San Antonio International Airport (SAT), though it is not currently in place.<\/p>\n<p>The National Weather Service (NWS) warns North Texas towns, including the DFW area, Waco, and Stephenville, could see up to 6 inches of\u00a0rainfall through the evening of Friday,\u00a0October 2. A Flood Watch remains in effect for much of the region through tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n<p>In San Antonio, a Flood Watch is in effect through 7 p.m. Friday.
