SAN ANTONIO – A lockdown, a stabbing and an arrest – a scary situation at Metzger Middle School after a seventh grader stabbed a classmate.

We’re learning the stabbing happened at about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday during a lockdown drill. Sources tell us she pulled out a knife and stabbed a boy and was immediately taken into custody.

The boy was transported for treatment and is expected to recover.

The 7th grader accused in this stabbing went before a juvenile judge Thursday. The girl’s grandmother and dad were there on her behalf. She now faces charges for stabbing a classmate.

We’re also learning the girl had more weapons inside her backpack that were confiscated, and a letter was eventually sent home to parents explaining their children were safe.

In a statement from the Judson ISD, they told us in part about the incident, “The safety and security of our students and staff remain our highest priority. We are grateful for the swift response of campus administrators and staff.”

It also said, because this matter involves a student, no additional information can be released due to student privacy laws.

Her next court date is set for October 15th.

[8
82,84,83
post-453517","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-san-antonio","tag-san-antonio","tag-san-antonio-headlines","tag-san-antonio-news
["GET
