Throughout the trip, Hinojosa emphasized the importance of serving every region of the state and being a governor for every Texan, regardless of their party affiliation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check out more from the stops below:<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/image-1024x576-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2476\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.776470588235294;width:453px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting in Corsicana, Hinojosa met with MAGA Republicans fighting against data centers being built in their communities, listening to their concerns and highlighting how she would use the power of the governor\u2019s office to uplift the voices of rural communities against global corporations encroaching on Texas land.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" data-id=\"2475\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/image-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2475\" style=\"width:412px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" data-id=\"2477\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/image-1024x576-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2477\" style=\"width:412px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hinojosa then met with Palestine Mayor Mitchell Jordan to discuss the issues facing the city and hear directly about the needs of the local community. In recent weeks, Greg Abbott failed to reach out to Mayor Jordan \u2013 the first Black mayor of Palestine \u2013 during a campaign stop in the city.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" data-id=\"2478\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/image-1-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2478\" style=\"width:399px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" data-id=\"2479\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/image-2-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2479\" style=\"width:403px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hinojosa ended Tuesday hosting an overflowing rally in Longview, which attracted Texans from both Gregg County and surrounding deep-red rural counties. \u201cAll across the state, what we\u2019re hearing is that people want change,\u201d said Hinojosa. \u201cCome November, we will end Greg Abbott\u2019s 30-year political career.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/image-3-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2480\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.7787610619469028;width:518px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Wednesday, Hinojosa rounded out the trip with a town hall in Nacogdoches, where she laid out her priorities for Texas, including strengthening public schools, lowering costs for working families, and ending the decades of corruption that have prevented Texans from having access to the opportunities they deserve. \u201cWe need a clean slate and a fresh start,\u201d said Hinojosa. \u201cIt\u2019s going to take all of us, but we need to rebuild a Texas that works for us.
