{"id":453635,"date":"2026-10-01T22:10:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T22:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/453635\/"},"modified":"2026-10-01T22:10:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T22:10:09","slug":"richardson-council-approves-375k-in-arts-grants-richardson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/453635\/","title":{"rendered":"Richardson council approves $375K in arts grants | Richardson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twenty-two arts organizations in Richardson are set to receive funding after City Council unanimously approved $375,000 in arts grants on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cor.net\/home\/showpublisheddocument\/47051\/639256928473130000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Sept. 28<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The grants will be distributed to Richardson Symphony Orchestra, Richardson Theatre Centre, and several other music, theater and performing arts organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The overview<\/p>\n<p>Richardson awards arts grants annually from city\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cor.net\/departments\/property-tax\/hotel-occupancy-tax\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">hotel occupancy tax fund<\/a>, said Assistant City Manager Michaela Dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Dollar said the city received 26 applications for a total of $555,794 requested funds.
