BEXAR COUNTY, Texas \u2013 Drivers on the far West Side of Bexar County say the intersection of Tamaron Pass and Talley Road should be called \u201cdeath\u2019s crossing\u201d because of the blind spot drivers face while turning onto Talley Road.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou got to pull out and pray,\u201d Jonathan Aguillard said. \u201cThe construction, they moved it this way so you\u2019re on a bend radius and then you got traffic coming from this direction. The visibility is like less than 40 to 50 feet. It\u2019s pretty bad.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bexar County is working to widen Talley Rd to accommodate the growing population on the far West Side. In turn, drivers say construction has pushed traffic on Talley Road closer to Tamaron Pass.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a pain in the a–,\u201d one woman said. \u201cIt\u2019s blind curve. You have to literally come out in the middle of the street just to make your left turn.\u201d<\/p>\n
Some people kindly stop their vehicle to allow drivers making a left turn to do it safely when there\u2019s an opening. However, the flow of traffic cannot solely rely on people being neighborly.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen they\u2019re done with the construction, they\u2019re going to put a traffic light here,\u201d Aguillard said. \u201cBut until that, I mean, you can see the visibility is so limited.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes when you think you\u2019re safe there\u2019s a car that comes flying by here,\u201d one man said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s death\u2019s crossing,\u201d another person on the road said.<\/p>\n
KSAT reached out to Bexar County about the construction on Talley Road and plans to help the flow of traffic. The county\u2019s Public Works Department said they plan to have an answer by Oct. 5. We\u2019ll check back on what\u2019s going to be done to fix it.<\/p>\n
