A worldwide Nashville-style hot chicken chain has finally set plans for a new restaurant in a major foodie destination.\u00a0San Antonio already has Dave’s Hot Chicken<\/a>, but now Austin will be getting its\u00a0first location.<\/p>\n

Dave’s Hot Chicken filed plans for a $500,000 renovation\/alteration to a space located at 3500 E. Parmer Lane, Suite 12125, Austin, TX 78754, according to a new\u00a0Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing<\/a>. This location\u00a0will be the first Dave’s Hot Chicken in Austin proper, but not the first for suburbanites living north of the\u00a0city.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The chain also has three other restaurants in Central Texas \u2014 one in Schertz, two in San Antonio and another planned for New Braunfels<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Austin’s first Dave’s Hot Chicken will be a 2,752-square-foot, standalone restaurant within the new East Village shopping center<\/a> near the Samsung Austin Semiconductor offices, northeast of the city. Dave’s will join a lineup of other East Villege\u00a0eateries like Killer Burger, Shake Shack<\/a> and First Watch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Construction on the Dave’s is expected to begin on January 18, 2027 and is expected to be completed by June 5 of next year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2017, Dave’s Hot Chicken began as a make-shift stand in a East Hollywood parking lot , according to its website<\/a>.
