Locke<\/a> is on injured reserve after suffering a foot injury in a Week 2 win over the Washington Commanders, and safety <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/cowboys\/article\/cowboys-injuries-jalen-thompson-juanyeh-thomas-22456308.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jalen Thompson<\/a> was placed on IR earlier this week after a hamstring strain in a Week 3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Cornerback\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/cowboys\/article\/dallas-cowboys-injuries-pj-locke-cobie-durant-22442005.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cobie Durant<\/a> will miss his second straight game after he sustained a hamstring strain in Week 2.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This is Steward&#8217;s second elevation in as many weeks, as he was called up before the Cowboys&#8217; matchup with the Ravens in Brazil after\u00a0Durant was ruled out. Thomas is being brought up for the first time this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Cowboys also bolstered their secondary earlier this week by acquiring\u00a0cornerback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/cowboys\/article\/dallas-cowboys-joey-porter-jr-trade-steelers-22457281.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joey Porter Jr.<\/a> from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dallas sent a second-round pick in 2028 and a sixth-round pick in 2027 to the Steelers for the Penn State product.<\/p>\n<p>The Texans made a\u00a0roster move of their own ahead of Sunday&#8217;s in-state clash, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jonmalexander\/status\/2106470698097033505?s=20\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow\">elevating former Cowboys linebacker Kenneth Murray<\/a> from their practice squad.
