All we need to focus on is a little things, cleaning up chaotic blaze and continue to establish production with our attackers. But overall, I was incredibly pleased by the effort in the fight that our team has.”

“I think that Lily [Gervase] knows that she’s more of an offensive middle and she wanted to continue to build her game and she knows that defense is something that she has been putting a lot of effort into and we’re seeing it out there on the court. She done some really beautiful things against some very talented athletes and I have been proud of how she’s competed this weekend.”

Highlights

Lily Gervase has recorded four or more blocks in three consecutive matches
Gervase notched double-digit kills for the second time this season
Alabama held Texas under .180 hitting in sets one and two
Leilia Toailoa and Tea Simic each served three aces
The Crimson Tide totaled 12 blocks for the second straight match
Texas’ 35 digs was its second lowest total of the season

Stat Leaders

Set-by-Set Scores

Set 1: Texas 25, Alabama 23
Set 2: Alabama 25, Texas 23

Set 3: Texas 25, Alabama 21
Set 4: Texas 25, Alabama 22

Up Next

Friday, Oct. 9 vs. South Carolina – Tuscaloosa, Ala. – 6 p.m. CT

How It Happened

The Crimson Tide started the match with strong offense, taking a 10-5 lead over Texas, which forced the Longhorns to take a timeout.
