The new store will be the third H-E-B in San Marcos and will bring several new amenities to the growing I-35 corridor.<\/p>\n
With opening day approaching, work continues across the property as crews put the finishing touches on the new store.\u00a0A large H-E-B sign now towers over the I-35 corridor, while the store\u2019s exterior, parking areas and other features have taken shape ahead of the opening.<\/p>\n
The site also includes an H-E-B Fresh Bites convenience store with a fuel station and car wash, which is nearing completion.<\/p>\n
One of the biggest additions will be San Marcos\u2019 first True Texas BBQ restaurant.<\/p>\n
The restaurant will have indoor seating and serve H-E-B\u2019s in-house smoked meats, including brisket, along with sides such as brisket beans, creamed corn and homestyle potato salad.<\/p>\n
H-E-B operates more than 30 True Texas BBQ locations across Texas.<\/p>\n
The new location will give San Marcos its first chance to try the restaurant without leaving town.<\/p>\n
The new H-E-B will offer many of the services and departments shoppers expect from the retailer, including:<\/p>\n
The store also will include a fuel station and car wash at the H-E-B Fresh Bites convenience store, according to the company\u2019s website.\u00a0<\/p>\n
H-E-B says the new San Marcos store will officially open at 6 a.m. Wednesday, October 7.<\/p>\n
The store is located at I-35 and McCarty Lane, adding another major grocery option to one of San Marcos\u2019 busiest corridors.<\/p>\n
