Stonebrook will be widened from Legacy to 4th Army Drive. The roadways will be widened and reconstructed.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The project is in the design phase and is expected to start construction later this year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/prosper-celina\/transportation\/txdot-plans-38m-construction-on-fm-1385-in-prosper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">FM 1385 widening<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Project: FM 1385 from US 380 to Union Park Boulevard in Prosper will be widened to four lanes with curbs and gutters.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The Texas Transportation Commission approved $38.2 million to widen the roadway as part of the Texas Department of Transportation\u2019s 2027 Unified Transportation Program in August, a TxDOT representative said. The Unified Transportation Program is a plan, not an official allocation of funds, so it is subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>Ongoing projects<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/denton\/transportation\/learn-more-about-4-transportation-projects-around-denton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Redstone Road utility and pavement replacement<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Project: Crews are working along Redstone Road in Denton from Hercules Lane to Neptune Drive to replace utilities and pavement.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Crews have completed lime-stabilized subgrade, fine grading and placement of the first lift of asphalt. Crews are currently working on curb and gutter improvements.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/mckinney\/transportation\/tracking-utility-relocations-and-capacity-improvements-see-updates-on-6-road-projects-in-mckinney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">SH 5 utility relocations Phase 1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Project: The city of McKinney\u2019s water and wastewater utilities will be relocated in advance of TxDOT\u2019s upcoming reconstruction project along SH 5.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Construction is approximately 80% complete. All relocations south of Eldorado Parkway\/Industrial Boulevard have been completed and TxDOT\u2019s project is underway. Various locations between Elm Street and US 380 along SH 5 will experience localized lane closures and detours to complete remaining construction.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: May 2024\u2013Early 2027<\/p>\n<p>Cost: $26.8 million<\/p>\n<p>Funding sources: city of McKinney, TxDOT reimbursement<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/richardson\/transportation\/see-4-road-projects-impacting-richardson-residents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">West Shore Drive, Fontana Avenue improvements<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Project: Work consists of pavement, sidewalk and utility improvements on West Shore Drive from Campbell Road to Arapaho Road and Fontana from West Shore to Meadow View Drive in Richardson.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Crews are currently replacing sewer lines on West Shore from Warren Way to Woodland Way and installing a new water line on Fontana.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Check out updates on five upcoming and ongoing transportation projects around Dallas-Fort Worth.
