The duo of <a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/thiago-guglieri\/14465\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14465\" target=\"_blank\">Thiago Guglieri<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/felipe-pagnacco\/14466\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14466\" target=\"_blank\">Felipe Pagnacco<\/a> made quick work of their Tulane foes, securing a 6-2 victory over Friedler and Gaudin, while Patton and Van Den Dooren added a 6-4 win against Rice and Cote.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIn singles action, Guglieri defeated Gaudin in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, while Pagnacco earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Cote. Patton battled through a tightly contested opening set before leading in the second when Rice retired from the match, giving Tech the edge it needed to secure its first victory of the weekend.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Red Raiders followed with another strong performance against Georgia Tech, once again sweeping doubles play en route to a 4-2 win. Guglieri and Pagnacco improved to 2-0 on the weekend with a 6-4 victory over Carlini and Taube, while Patton and Van Den Dooren matched the score against Niccolo Biagiotti and Omar Shokry.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nGuglieri highlighted singles competition with a three-set victory over Carlini, prevailing 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. Pagnacco remained unbeaten in singles through two rounds after defeating Biagiotti, 6-1, 6-4.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIn the championship match against Columbia, the Lions claimed the doubles point before securing the title in singles play. Patton recorded Texas Tech&#8217;s lone completed singles victory, leading 5-2 against Javier Ena before a retirement ended the match.
