{"id":457805,"date":"2026-10-06T08:30:19","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T08:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/457805\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T08:30:19","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T08:30:19","slug":"texas-am-police-say-reported-robbery-on-campus-did-not-happen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/457805\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas A&#038;M police say reported robbery on campus did not happen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) &#8211; Texas A&amp;M University Police say a robbery reported last month at the West Campus Garage did not take place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In an update released Monday, police said their investigation found no robbery occurred on Sept. 28 and that no threat to the campus community was connected to the report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The original crime alert said University Police received a report around 3:30 p.m. that day of a robbery on Level 1 of the West Campus Garage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">At the time, a person reported that an unknown individual sprayed her with pepper spray and stole her Corps of Cadets freshman spurs. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The university did not immediately provide additional details publicly about what investigators determined happened. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KBTX.
