Property fraud can involve someone recording documents against another person\u2019s property in an attempt to establish ownership for financial gain, according to the clerk\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subscribers will receive automated alerts when a document containing their registered name is recorded. The service covers deeds, deeds of trust, liens and notices. Court case filings are excluded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alerts cover documents recorded after registration. An alert does not necessarily indicate fraud; subscribers will need to revew the document to determine whether it involves suspicious activity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Documents can be reviewed in person at the County Clerk\u2019s Office, 904 Broadway, Room 207, or users can purchase a copy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents can register through the County Clerk\u2019s section of lubbockcounty.gov.
