<\/p>\nCARROLLTON, Texas – A Lewisville ISD teacher has turned herself into police one day after she was charged with two child sex crimes involving a Hebron High School student.<\/p>\n

35-year-old Gloria Res\u00e9ndiz turned herself in to the Carrollton Jail on Tuesday, October 6.<\/p>\n
Res\u00e9ndiz, a teacher at Hebron High School in Lewisville ISD, was charged<\/a> with indecency with a child – sexual contact and child grooming on Monday, October 5.<\/p>\n Police obtained arrest warrants for Res\u00e9ndiz on Monday, but had not yet detained her before she turned herself in today.<\/p>\n Dig deeper:<\/p>\n Carrollton PD say they obtained the arrest warrants for Res\u00e9ndiz after an investigation revealed evidence of an inappropriate relationship between Res\u00e9ndiz and a juvenile student.<\/p>\n On Sunday, September 27, a Hebron H.S. administrator alerted Carrollton PD to concerning communications between Res\u00e9ndiz and the student.<\/p>\n The student was enrolled ine one of Res\u00e9ndiz’s classes during the prior school year, but is not currently enrolled in a class with her.<\/p>\n According to arrest documents obtained by FOX 4, Res\u00e9ndiz had provided multiple gifts to the student, and the student wrote in a note on their phone that the two had kissed in March 2026.<\/p>\n Other notes observed by investigators said Res\u00e9ndiz and the student would “sneak around” to hide their relationship from others.<\/p>\n What they’re saying:<\/p>\n Lewisville ISD says the district has placed Res\u00e9ndiz on administrative leave.
