The Conservation Society of San Antonio recently announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2026\/09\/30\/conservation-society-ends-agreement-with-city-to-host-niosa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NIOSA will not take place during the 2027 Fiesta season<\/a>, citing declining attendance and financial challenges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">&gt;&gt; READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2026\/09\/17\/niosa-attendees-react-to-niosa-being-paused-for-2027\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NIOSA attendees react to event being suspended for 2027<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">St. Mary\u2019s said it is choosing to evolve Oyster Bake.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">\u201cWhat began more than 110 years ago as a small gathering of St. Mary\u2019s University alumni sharing camaraderie over baked oysters has evolved into an iconic San Antonio tradition,\u201d the association said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Music will be at the center of the revamped event, with organizers bringing a diverse lineup of nationally recognized performers and continuing to highlight local talent through the St. Mary\u2019s University Battle of the Bands, the release said. The festival will feature two signature stages and premium VIP viewing decks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">\u201cThe Fiesta Oyster Bake Committee has taken into account audience feedback over the last few years to innovate and deliver a quality, Fiesta-inspired event that stands out from the crowd,\u201d organizers said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The release said early presale tickets are expected to cost $30 per day, which is the same as the 2026 gate price.
