Fans of Trader Joe\u2019s in Frisco just got some good news.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the City Council, after tabling the item in August, voted to rezone a slice of property on the western side of\u00a0Frisco to accommodate the grocer. The decision, which passed unanimously, also enables a senior living center to be part of the property.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen are we getting a Trader Joe\u2019s? That has been a resounding question that I know I have heard since I\u2019ve been on council for the past five years,\u201d said Angelia Pelham, deputy mayor pro tem, Place 3, during the meeting. \u201cAnd to be able to now answer that question is something that I\u2019m really excited about.\u201d<\/p>\n
The property is at Majestic Gardens Drive and Main Street on the western side of Frisco.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While brands such as\u00a0Aldi, H-E-B<\/a> and Kroger expand their reach in North Texas, Trader Joe\u2019s is investing in the region as it benefits from business and population growth locally.
