{"id":459909,"date":"2026-10-08T08:02:16","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T08:02:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/459909\/"},"modified":"2026-10-08T08:02:16","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T08:02:16","slug":"spirited-merch-mysas-first-ever-dia-de-muertos-collection-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/459909\/","title":{"rendered":"Spirited merch: MySA&#8217;s first-ever Dia de Muertos collection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>San Antonio is known for its penchant for the gothic, the spooky, the macabre, but when it comes to celebrating late loved ones, the city&#8217;s brightest colors shine through.<\/p>\n<p>Whether San Antonians are working on their own ofrendas or navigating the dozens of altars set up across the city, Dia de Muertos is now ingrained in the Alamo City&#8217;s tapestry.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As such, MySA worked with a local artist to bring our first-ever Dia de Muertos collection. We focused on the iconography of the season, the brightness of the cemphasuchil (marigolds) as it covers ofrendas, the brightly colored sugar skulls that dot the city&#8217;s landmarks come October. For the dog lovers, we created a framed memory of Nacho, a sassy Chihuahua.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The designs are available across a series of items including stickers, tees, baseball caps, totes, hoodies and lawn decor flags.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>About the artist: Tina Corbeil is a San Antonio-based graphic designer and creative artist with more than 20 years of experience. Her work spans branding, illustration, advertising, editorial design, digital content, motion graphics, and video. From magazine layouts and large-scale event campaigns to television graphics and digital media, Tina has built a diverse creative career across publishing, television, marketing, and design.
