The development is on a 17.58-acre tract of land, according to city documents.

The specific use permit, or SUP, is required to allow three uses for the site: a grocery store, a fuel station and a pharmacy drive‑through, according to city documents.

Going forward

The SUP request will have to navigate back through the Keller Planning and Zoning Commission. Council voted to table the public hearing for the proposal until the Dec. 1 meeting.

Planning and zoning will meet Nov. 10. During that meeting, Hensley said the commission will review the SUP, the revised site plan and the alcohol sales variance due to the proximity to Keller High School property.

According to city documents, there would be four points of vehicular access, including two full‑access driveways along Rufe Snow Drive and two full‑access points along North Town Center Lane.

The background

The current Kroger location at 976 Keller Parkway would close if the plan is approved. John Votava, director of corporate affairs at Kroger, said it would be cheaper to build a new store than to renovate the current property, according to previous reporting.

Kroger had plans approved for the same location in 2016, but the project did not move forward, according to the city staff presentation at the Sept. 8 meeting.

The previous development plan was for a 123,590-square-foot grocery store, but all previous approvals have expired, according to city documents.

Keller City Council granted a request from Kroger to table a specific use permit approval at the Oct.…

[10
116,118,117,59684,14256,49732,20102,157404,79145,157403,157402
post-460207","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-fort-worth","tag-fort-worth","tag-fort-worth-headlines","tag-fort-worth-news","tag-john-votava","tag-keller-city-council","tag-keller-high-school","tag-kroger-marketplace","tag-n-town-center-lane","tag-rufe-snow-drive","tag-sarah-hensley","tag-specific-use-permit
["GET
