Once it begins operating, traffic should decline dramatically, but the facility would become a substantial consumer of electricity while relying on an unusual cooling design intended to minimize water consumption.<\/p>\n
That is how Southern Methodist University professor Sreekumar Bhaskaran sees the proposed BT Aycock Data Center east of Princeton after reviewing planning and water-use documents for the project.<\/p>\n
Bhaskaran, a professor and chair of the Information Technology and Operations Management Department at SMU\u2019s Cox School of Business, reviewed planning and water-use documents for the proposed data center. He holds a doctorate in supply chain and operations management from the University of Texas at Austin.<\/p>\n
