But, as adults, I feel like we can kind of get away from that. So, I wanted to create an experience that folks could really have and enjoy in Houston.”

The catalyst

Nunn’s vision first became a reality in February 2023 when she acquired a 900-square-foot space inside Spring Street Studios, an entity of Houston’s Sawyer Yards complex.

Originally from Florida, Owner and Entrepreneur Andrea Nunn has been a Houston resident for the last six years.(Emily Lara/Community Impact)

Her business, Fête 832, started small with its innovative drip-and-pour approach to figurine painting. However, after just one month of being open, it was catapulted into the larger retail scene after going viral on TikTok.

Nunn said the heightened demand spurred her search to secure a bigger studio that could accommodate more guests, ultimately leading to Fête 832’s relocation to Rice Village in November 2025.

What’s special about it?

Equipped with a 30-person seating capacity, Fête 832’s black and white canvas-inspired storefront at 2414 Rice Blvd., Houston, caters to an immersive, phones-down environment where guests can design something that is distinctly their own, Nunn said.

The design concept for Fête 832’s Rice Village location is based off Nunn’s childhood memories watching black and white cartoons. The figurines themselves are cool, and the pouring method is just super easy,” Nunn explained. “It’s an easy teachable style as well, so large groups can grasp the concept.”

Following the painting process, which usually takes about an hour to complete, guests are required to leave their figurines at the studio for a 2-day drying period.

During this time, completed pieces are hardened under a heat lamp, which dries paint much faster than the typical kiln and fire method, Nunn said. The creations are then stored while awaiting customer pick-up.

A sneak peek

Fête 832’s current figurine collection consists of nine different sculpture options. Although plans are still in the works, Nunn said that guests can expect to see new, year-round additions to the line-up sometime around Black Friday in November.

Among the pieces within Fête 832’s collection, its featured ‘Houston hat’ is a custom made figurine presented in collaboration with American rapper Trae tha Truth. The hat showcases a design of the city’s iconic skyline.(Emily Lara/Community Impact)

In the meantime, guests may continue to book Fête 832 for private and off-site events via phone call or online, in addition to stopping by for walk-ins. They may also visit Nunn’s second location in the Heights area along West 19th Street, which officially opened in August.

“All of the opportunities have been just a great signal to me. Even in an economy that’s really hard and tough, we have so much community support,” Nunn said. “I sit amongst great company being in the Rice Village area, for sure.”

Andrea Nunn remembers fondly the afternoons she spent at her grandmother’s house as a child.
