Two dead in Northeast Bexar County shooting, deputies say man shot woman then self<\/a><\/p>\nDeputies said Gary Ainslie shot Bibiana Ainslie before fatally shooting himself early Sunday.<\/p>\n
Bexar County sheriff\u2019s deputies responded about 2 a.m. to a reported shooting at a home in the 6200 block of Carriage Cape. Authorities said Bibiana Ainslie called for help and reported that Gary Ainslie had shot her before turning the gun on himself.<\/p>\n
When deputies entered the home, they found Gary Ainslie dead and Bibiana Ainslie suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.<\/p>\n
The sheriff’s office said the incident marks the 19th homicide they’ve investigated this year and the 9th family-related homicide. In 2025, BCSO investigated 7 domestic violence-related homicides out of 15 total homicides for the year.<\/p>\n
As October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the sheriff’s office is encouraging the community to stay alert to the warning signs of escalating family violence. Individuals experiencing abuse, or those concerned for someone else, are urged to seek help immediately. Deputies say early reporting and intervention have been shown to reduce serious injury significantly.<\/p>\n

BCSO said they are investigating the case as a murder-suicide.
