Greg Abbott and Sen. Ted Cruz. His group, Powered by People, went to Texas Tech to get students involved. He said he thinks Lubbock\u2019s young voters may shock Texas in November.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cLubbock is the kind of place that far too often gets written off or taken for granted or forgotten altogether; that\u2019s why we\u2019re here today. Lubbock is important, Lubbock will turn out, Lubbock will surprise this state on November third,\u201d O\u2019Rourke said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cAnd it\u2019s not just Democrats, it\u2019s Republicans, it\u2019s independents, all of us coming together and putting this state before party or any other consideration,\u201d O\u2019Rourke said.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KCBD.
