{"id":461689,"date":"2026-10-10T00:08:08","date_gmt":"2026-10-10T00:08:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/461689\/"},"modified":"2026-10-10T00:08:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-10T00:08:08","slug":"1-airlifted-after-i-10-crash-near-sierra-blanca-border-patrol-checkpoint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/461689\/","title":{"rendered":"1 airlifted after I-10 crash near Sierra Blanca Border Patrol checkpoint"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A crash on Interstate 10 near the Sierra Blanca Border Patrol checkpoint sent two people to an El Paso hospital Friday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the crash involved three vehicles an two people from one of the vehicles were taken to University Medical Center of El Paso.<\/p>\n<p>At least one of those injured suffered serious injuries, as TX DPS confirmed one person was airlifted.  <\/p>\n<p>The crash closed the passenger-vehicle lane crossing, but traffic continued to flow through the commercial truck lanes.<\/p>\n<p>Video shared on the popular social media account <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/therealfitfamelpaso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">@therealfitfamelpaso<\/a> appears to show the helicopter used to fly the injured person.<\/p>\n<p>WATCH:<\/p>\n<p><p>1 airlifted after I-10 crash near Sierra Blanca border patrol checkpoint.
