A community survey found interest in improved access to downtown, prompting Fort Bend Transit to develop a route that better aligns with riders\u2019 transportation needs.<\/p>\n<p>Perri D\u2019Armond, transit director for Fort Bend Transit, said the agency is working to direct resources toward services that provide the greatest benefit to the community.<\/p>\n<p>The new route will provide direct access to Downtown Houston for $4 each way. The service is intended to help Fort Bend County residents reach employment opportunities, medical appointments, entertainment venues, events and other destinations in Houston.<\/p>\n<p>Fort Bend County Commissioner Dexter L.
