Both teams went 5-0 against the field\u00a0in Baker Matches.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nAlabama State is third in total pins followed by Tulane, North Carolina A&amp;T, UAB, Florida A&amp;M, Emmanuel, Jackson State, Oklahoma Christian, Alabama A&amp;M, Texas Southern, Prairie View and Southern.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Bearkats picked up wins over Alabama State (1,122-928), UAB (865-856), Jackson State (920-842), Alabama A&amp;M (949-721) and Emmanuel (927-790).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n&#8220;We&#8217;re happy to walk away from day one of the Colonial Classic at 5-0, but we also understand there are things we need to clean up,&#8221; head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/gobearkats.com\/sports\/womens-bowling\/roster\/coaches\/brad-hagen\/1169\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1169\" target=\"_blank\">Brad Hagen<\/a> said. &#8220;Our preparation window leading into this event was short, and while that&#8217;s part of the reality, finding ways to adjust, get better on the fly, and continue to improve as the weekend unfolds will be crucial to our success.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n&#8220;At the end of the day, Ws are what matter most, but we can&#8217;t become so comfortable with the results that we start believing everything is just going to work in our favor.
