A McDonald’s <\/a>in Texas has been named the best in the country,<\/p>\n

A new study analyzing more than 20 million Google reviews of nearly 13,000 McDonald’s restaurants nationwide found that the highest-rated location is in Eagle Pass, Texas. The McDonald’s on East Main Street earned the top spot with an average rating of 4.25 stars from 2,159 reviews, according to the study by SEO Backlinks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Eagle Pass location edged out a McDonald’s in Calexico, California, which ranked second with a 4.23-star rating, followed by the world’s oldest operating McDonald’s on Lakewood Boulevard in Downey, California, with 4.22 stars.<\/p>\n

Two other Texas locations made the top 10: The McDonald’s at 101 S. Expressway in Brownsville ranked No. 5, while another Eagle Pass location, at 2401 Del Rio Blvd., came in at No. 10.<\/p>\n

Arizona McDonald’s ranked worst in the nation<\/p>\n

On the opposite end of the rankings, a McDonald’s in Surprise, Arizona, earned the lowest rating nationwide, with 1.55 stars. Recent Google reviews point to complaints about long drive-thru wait times, incorrect orders and poor customer service, according to the study.<\/p>\n

“By far the worst service of any McDonald’s,” one reviewer wrote in late September 2026.<\/p>\n

“Drive thru times are horrendous here, even when there’s low traffic,” another customer complained.<\/p>\n

A McDonald’s on West Magnolia Avenue in Auburn also drew harsh criticism, with one reviewer writing, “This place seriously deserves an award for being the worst McDonald’s in America.”<\/p>\n
