Photo by Elizabeth Lavin.<\/p>\n<p>Mexican restaurant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/oloyo_dtx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ol\u014dy\u014d<\/a> has made Michelin\u2019s list of selected restaurants in its <a href=\"https:\/\/lakewood.advocatemag.com\/mexican-food-restaurant-oloyo-to-open-in-east-dallas\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first year<\/a> operating the physical location on Gaston Avenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The fine dining concept by pop-up, private tasting dinner host and Texas Monthly\u2019s Top 50 Tacos honoree <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/molino_oloyo\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Molino Ol\u014dy\u014d<\/a> opened in May in Old East Dallas. The restaurant was founded by James Beard semifinalist Chef Olivia L\u00f3pez and Jonathan Percival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChef Olivia L\u00f3pez draws inspiration from her native Colima along with a deep commitment to heirloom Mexican corn at this intimate East Dallas restaurant,\u201d reads the <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.michelin.com\/us\/en\/texas\/dallas_2954570\/restaurant\/oloyo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michelin Guide entry on Ol\u014dy\u014d<\/a>. (The restaurant\u2019s name means \u201ccob of the corn\u201d for a reason.) \u201cMasa is milled and prepared in-house throughout the day, forming the foundation for dishes such as wagyu brisket sope, tamales with pipi\u00e1n verde and seasonal seafood preparations. House-made vinegars, preserved fruits and vegetables, and carefully sourced ingredients reflect a thoughtful approach rooted in seasonality and regional Mexican traditions. A well-curated beverage program featuring agave spirits, cocktails and wines available by the glass complements the cooking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ol\u014dy\u014d recognized the news on Instagram by expressing gratitude for being recommended in the guide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started this journey in 2021 delivering tamales and tortillas to your door, we could only dream of one day being mentioned in the Michelin Guide,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DePf2-ZlvJI\/?img_index=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the post reads<\/a>. \u201cThank you to everyone who\u2019s walked through our doors.
