The field of interventional pain management continues to evolve, with new technologies and treatment approaches offering physicians additional ways to address chronic pain.<\/p>\n

But according to Dr. Mehta, adopting the latest technology is only part of the equation. Developing the skills and expertise of the medical professionals providing those treatments is just as important.<\/p>\n

“My vision has always been as an organization to adopt those cutting-edge therapies, but truly believe in one basic concept that surgical skills, or interventional pain skills, is the currency to provide great outcomes for our patients,” Dr. Mehta explained.<\/p>\n

As Chief Medical Officer, he emphasizes ongoing education and mentorship for physicians, nurse practitioners and other members of the care team.<\/p>\n

The conference provides an opportunity for candid conversations about emerging therapies, healthcare policies, patient advocacy and ways to improve coordination among providers.<\/p>\n

Patients are also occasionally invited to participate, helping keep the conversation focused on the people receiving care.<\/p>\n
