{"id":463283,"date":"2026-10-11T22:50:12","date_gmt":"2026-10-11T22:50:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/463283\/"},"modified":"2026-10-11T22:50:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-11T22:50:12","slug":"jack-antonoff-wears-talarico-for-texas-shirt-at-acl-fest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/463283\/","title":{"rendered":"Jack Antonoff wears &#8216;Talarico for Texas&#8217; shirt at ACL Fest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>About three weeks before the midterm elections, New Jersey native, Bleachers frontman and frequent Taylor Swift collaborator Jack Antonoff, though not a Texan, threw his support behind Democratic U.S. Senate nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/news\/article\/james-talarico-austin-city-limits-22470358.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">James Talarico<\/a>, who is running against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.<\/p>\n<p>At Bleachers&#8217;\u00a0sunset set Saturday, during the second weekend of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/news\/article\/acl-fest-circuit-of-the-americas-austin-22470213.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Austin City Limits Music Festival<\/a>, he played a short clip of Talarico encouraging people to vote in the upcoming election.<\/p>\n<p>Talarico attended the festival Friday but did not appear onstage. Instead, he visited with fans, took photos and shook hands. He told the American-Statesman he was happy to be back at ACL. The visit marked his return to the campaign trail after recovering from the flu, following several days of speculation about his whereabouts.<\/p>\n<p>Before launching into set-closer \u201cStop Making This Hurt,\u201d\u00a0Antonoff took off his shirt and changed into a \u201cTalarico for Texas\u201d shirt.<\/p>\n<p>Antonoff frequently speaks out on political and social issues.
