Two customers were injured after a driver in a stolen vehicle crashed into a business in south Houston Sunday night, according to Houston police.<\/p>\n

The crash happened around 10 p.m. Oct. 11 in the 9700 block of Scott Street.<\/p>\n

According to an HPD sergeant at the scene, an officer located a vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier in the day. After confirming the vehicle was stolen, the officer attempted to make a traffic stop.<\/p>\n

The driver fled from the officer before losing control on a street off Scott Street and crashing into a building.<\/p>\n

The vehicle caught fire after the crash, and Houston Fire Department crews extinguished the flames.<\/p>\n

The driver, who was still inside the vehicle when officers arrived, suffered superficial lacerations and was transported to a hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Two customers inside the business were also struck by the vehicle. Both were taken to an area hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n

The suspect\u2019s vehicle also struck another vehicle that was parked in front of the business.<\/p>\n

The driver is being arrested on charges of felony evading, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and reckless driving, according to police.<\/p>\n

The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
