Officers were dispatched<\/a> around 2:10 a.m. to the 2100 block of Royal Lane after a shooting occurred nearby, the department said in an October 10 release.<\/p>\n An unknown suspect allegedly shot a man near the 11300 block of Newkirk Street<\/a>\u00a0in Northwest Dallas, according to the preliminary investigation.
