Police say a man died after his car left the highway, struck another vehicle parked at a gas pump. I-37 has reopened, but the southbound Rand Morgan Road is closed.<\/p>\n

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 A man died Monday morning after his car went off Interstate 37 and crashed into another vehicle at a gas station in Corpus Christi, according to police.<\/p>\n

Corpus\u00a0Christi\u00a0police\u00a0said\u00a0the\u00a0call\u00a0came\u00a0in\u00a0at\u00a06:26\u00a0a.m.\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a09400\u00a0block\u00a0of\u00a0Up\u00a0River\u00a0Road,\u00a0near\u00a0I-37.<\/p>\n

Police\u00a0initially\u00a0reported\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0car\u00a0had\u00a0crashed\u00a0into\u00a0a\u00a0gas\u00a0pump\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0Circle\u00a0K.\u00a0However,\u00a0investigators\u00a0later\u00a0clarified\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0driver\u00a0struck\u00a0another\u00a0vehicle\u00a0parked\u00a0at\u00a0a\u00a0gas\u00a0pump,\u00a0not\u00a0the\u00a0pump\u00a0itself.<\/p>\n

A white Toyota Camry with visible damage to its rear passenger side was seen near a semi-truck at the crash scene. Authorities have not released the identity of the man who died or said what caused his vehicle to leave the highway.<\/p>\n

I-37 has since reopened to traffic, but the southbound Rand Morgan Road exit ramp remains closed as investigators continue their work.<\/p>\n
