A man who was wandering outside a business in northwest Fort Worth stabbed himself to death during an encounter with officers on Monday morning, the Fort Worth Police Department said.<\/p>\n

The man, whose name and age the Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office did not immediately release, was involved in a disturbance at the business in the 2500 block of NE 36th Street.<\/p>\n

The man arrived in a vehicle with two flat tires, a police spokesperson said. The man, who did not work at the business, began wandering with his dog.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived about 7:25 a.m., the man yelled obscenities at them and displayed a knife, the spokesman said. Officers issued verbal orders, and one officer deployed a Taser, whose probes shocked the suspect, the spokesman said.<\/p>\n

The male then stabbed himself with the knife, the spokesman said.<\/p>\n

Officers tried to provide medical aid, but the man died at the business.<\/p>\n

Under the department\u2019s standard protocol, major case unit detectives responded to the scene.<\/p>\n
