He was 74 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Randy Christian on City Council<\/p>\n<p>Christian ran unopposed for <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Randy_Christian\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Lubbock City Council District 5 in 2018<\/a>, holding the seat until 2022 when he lost the election to Dr. Jennifer Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>During his time on City Council, Dan Pope served as Mayor after winning re-election for another term.<\/p>\n<p>Randy Christian joined <a href=\"https:\/\/kfyo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">KFYO <\/a>several times during his time as City Councilman, most notably in 2022 when he<a href=\"https:\/\/kfyo.com\/randy-christian-talks-lubbock-crime-statistics-and-gangs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> joined the morning show<\/a> to discuss Lubbock&#8217;s\u00a0crime statistics, gang numbers, and traffic violations.<\/p>\n<p>Randy Christian&#8217;s Cancer Diagnosis<\/p>\n<p>Randy Christian had battled cancer for much of his life, having had his first health scare when he was just eight years old.
