\n\tTommy Hilfiger<\/a> is getting his cowboy on for his latest fanwear collection for Formula 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the run-up to the next Grand Prix race, slated to take place in Austin from Oct. 22 to 25, the designer on Tuesday is introducing the Tommy Hilfiger<\/a> x Cadillac Formula 1<\/a> Team Austin collection.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe capsule features five special-edition pieces centered around denim with chrome finishes and American flag chevron artwork in the designer\u2019s signature red, white and blue color palette.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe men\u2019s denim jacket reworks a classic trucker silhouette in a light wash, while the women\u2019s denim vest is finished with a silver foil coating. There is also a T-shirt, tank top and denim cap, each sporting similar artwork.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe started with icons of the Tommy wardrobe \u2014 the denim jacket and the white T-shirt \u2014 and looked at how we could rework them inspired by the character of Austin,\u201d said Lee Holman, chief design officer of Tommy Hilfiger. \u201cIt\u2019s about taking familiar pieces and giving them a fresh point of view, while staying grounded in our classic American cool DNA.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Austin drop is the latest in a city-inspired capsule series from the Tommy Hilfiger X Cadillac Formula 1 Team fanwear <\/a>collection. The offering features co-branded styles and replica pieces inspired by the official team kit such as driver caps, T-shirts and polos.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series already created special Miami and Mexico collections, with Las Vegas slated for November.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAustin gives us a chance to have a little more fun with our American roots,\u201d said Cassidy Towriss, chief brand adviser for the Cadillac Formula 1 Team. \u201cTommy Hilfiger has such an iconic take on American style, and this collection brings that together with our team identity in a way that feels natural. It\u2019s fanwear made for race weekend, but designed to live well beyond the paddock.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe collection will be available beginning at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday on the Tommy Hilfiger and Cadillac Formula 1 websites as well as in select Tommy Hilfiger stores.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Austin Grand Prix is the 18th race of the season. It marks the inaugural year for the Cadillac Formula 1 Team. Tommy Hilfiger is the official apparel and fanwear partner for the team.
