It was just another casual day in Austin when Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson popped into Home Slice Pizza for lunch on Saturday. The longtime pals were spotted on South Congress earlier this week while filming scenes for their upcoming Apple TV+ comedy series, “Brothers.”

The celeb sighting comes at a big moment for Home Slice. The Austin institution is celebrating 20 years of slinging New York-style pizza with the return of its Carnival O’ Pizza on Saturday at the South Congress location. The free event, which kicks off at noon, features games, live music, raffles and family fun.

What started in 2006 as a small anniversary fundraiser grew into an 11-year neighborhood tradition. The event benefits Foundation Communities, a local nonprofit that provides affordable housing and on-site support for Austin families and individuals.

If you’re planning to stop by for a pie this weekend, keep your camera ready. You never know when you’ll spot McConaughey, Harrelson or even Slicey the Clown making their next cameo.

It was just another casual day in Austin when Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson popped into Home Slice Pizza…

[11
26978,132,134,133,1223,1224,13964,6980,15674,7845,7048,1623,354,2186,26980,27,2819,26979,26977
post-46485","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-austin","tag-apple-tv","tag-austin","tag-austin-headlines","tag-austin-news","tag-austin-texas","tag-austin-things-to-do","tag-brothers","tag-celebrities","tag-celebrities-entertainment-news","tag-matthew-mcconaughey","tag-pizza","tag-restaurant-news","tag-restaurants","tag-television","tag-television-shows","tag-texas","tag-tv","tag-tv-shows-programs","tag-woody-harrelson
["GET
